In the Missouri U. S. Senate race between that state's Secretary of State, Robin Carnahan and Congressman Roy Blunt, the Democrat, Robin Carnahan, is giving the Republican a good fight. She is tightening the race against the super well corporate financed Mr. Blunt. Ms Carnahan is getting the voters to focus on Mr. Blunt's record, and on his campaign's pro-business over-all-else stance, and on his failure to stand up for the American middle class.
The Carnahan campaign released the statement --"Missouri voters are increasingly concerned by the lies Congressman Blunt is telling about his 14 year Washington record of wasteful spending, corruption and sticking it to the middle class and they are disgusted by his temper tantrum after losing two debates last week."
Mr Blunt is very much apart of the GOP Washington establishment. "After House Majority Leader Tom DeLay stepped down due to a criminal indictment in Texas, Blunt served as interim House Majority Leader from September 29, 2005, to February 2, 2006, when John Boehner of Ohio was elected as DeLay's permanent replacement.served."
Ms. Carnaham would be a fresh face in Washington, working for the interest of the Missouri middle class.
