The Young Turks last night and others gave answers to the wing-nuts who are putting lies out there everyday about Democrats, and the Obama Administration. See the video.

The right-wing media kooks and the GOP-Tea Party liars need to be answered and answered promptly. For the last two years, they have said the most outrageous things about the Democrats and the White House, things so crazy that only a nut would believe. Unfortunately, when a lie is repeated often enough and is ignored, or not answered just as often, people will believe the lie. Well, some people will. Enough will.

This reminds me of 2004, when a yahoo swore in my face that the Democratic candidate John Kerry had posted on his own, that's Kerry's official, website, that Kerry was a traitor during the Vietnam War.

I asked this yahoo, if such a statement about Kerry made any sense. He defended the statement. He said he had heard it on a radio show. Yes, it was a right-wing radio show. He thought that, only that particular show reported the truth and all other media was run by liars, and by those whom he called liberals. When I suggested to him that he should go on-line and check Kerry's website and see for himself, if Kerry would call himself a traitor on his own website. This yahoo, said he had already checked. When I suggested that maybe he went to a phony site, he said, no, he went to the official Kerry site.

Finally, I said, "Kerry isn't and never has been a traitor, but let's suppose he was, do you think he would be dumb enough to post on his website that he was? The man is running for President!"

To my question: Why would anybody running for President advertised on his own official website, that he was a traitor, this yahoo said, that "Kerry is so arrogant that he boasts on his own website that he is a traitor!"

This yahoo was so blinded by his dislike of those whom he called liberals that he accepted every lie spoken against them, and came to believed every bad thing he saw about liberals, even when some of the things he believed he saw, in front of his own eyes, weren't really there,

This yahoo's response convinced me of two things: First, it was useless arguing with that individual. His mind was cemented shut. Second, of the need to reply to even the most outrageous lie before it find believers.

The outrageous lie that Mr. Obama wasn't born in America, is now joined by the outrageous lie that he is spending billions of dollars on a junket.

Not only are the liars' figures outregeously inflated, but the trip is no junket.

The Asian trip is necessary. Mr. Obama will be visiting India, which is the world's largest democracy and is a U.S. ally. He will be attending an important economic summit, and will be visiting other important U.S. allies, Japan and South Korea.
